Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a skincare haul. I love skincare, and since my skin has been having a freak-out lately, I decided to treat myself to some new skincare bits. I blame Halo-Top for making halfway decent low-cal ice cream (dairy is a trigger for my skin). And don’t even get my started about their strawberry cheesecake flavor. A few weeks ago I got the notification that Sephora was having a summer VIB sale, and I’m very nearly out of my Sunday Riley Sulfur mask, the only mask I’ve found so far that brings some relief during a breakout so…

The Haul

When Sunday Riley’s mask came out there wasn’t a lot in the way of Sulfur acne treatment masks. But brands seems to have caught on since then. I decided to give the Dr. Dennis Gross sulfur mask a try. Its cheaper than the Sunday Riley mask, at nearly the same amount of product. (Hopefully the smell is better!)

I’ve been wanting to try out Sephora’s new line of skincare to see whether or not they compete with other affordable lines from the likes of The Ordinary. This set includes a cleanser, daytime moisturizer (sans SPF), and a zinc treatment mask. I wish the moisturizer had sunscreen ingredients, but at $20 for all three products, I’m willing to let that pass. I’m especially looking forward to trying the zinc mask since zinc is another acne fighting skincare ingredient.

I’ve you’ve read my other skincare posts, you know I’m a fan of the Dr. Jart Cicapair color-correcting treatment. So when I saw this set that includes other products from that line, I jumped on it, do not pass Go, do not collect $200 style. This set includes a calming mist, serum, cream, and the color-correcting treatment. And it comes in a very durable feeling pouch.

How about you? Had a skincare haul recently? Any old favorites you’re still loving? Have you read my last post about the new Benefit Boi-ing concealer? You can here!
