My Current Morning Skincare Routine

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I’m a skincare junkie. I love trying new products, seeing what works for my skin, and what doesn’t. My current morning skincare routine is a mixture of tried and true anti-acne and hydration products.

Around Christmastime my skin had a bit of a freak-out. Probably all the rich food. Since then I’ve been using the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser, the Ole Henriksen Balance Force Oil Control Toner, and Radha tea tree oil as a part of my morning skincare routine. These products combined have helped my skin settle down. The It Cosmetics cleanser gives more a deep cleanse then the cleanser I was using before, but doesn’t strip my skin. The toner by Ole Henriksen contains witch hazel and a couple of acids to help gently exfoliate the skin. And the tea tree oil really helps combat acne outbreaks.

For hydration, I’ve been using some new and old products. I’m a big fan of The Ordinary Hylaronic acid serum, and wanted to try their “Buffet” serum. It does a great job, just like the Hylaronic serum, though it costs more, and if I’m being honest, I can’t tell the difference between the two! I finally used up my First Aid Beauty Moisturizer (6oz!), so I switched to the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream. The smell of this cream is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The loveliest, real rosy smell ever. The texture is thick and rich. I don’t need to use much of this cream. Next is the Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream. Wow that’s a mouthful. This eye cream is so rich and thick. In fact, if you have oily under eyes (lucky!) it might be too rich. Thankfully, I don’t, and this eye cream has really helped hydrate my under eyes. And does the Carmex lip balm need an introduction?
