A couple weeks ago I got an exciting email. I’d been selected for a VoxBox! I got my first VoxBox last December (read about it here!). But this is the first time I’ve been selected for a makeup VoxBox. This VoxBox was for the Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer! I do love a good concealer, especially when I have blemishes, which I have had lately. On days when I don’t want to do the whole face of makeup thing, I use a bit of concealer to cover my blemishes and undereyes.
First off, that packaging is adorable. A pencil top (released soon to back-to-school time, we see you Benefit!) that is nice and wide for easy grip. The component feels like plastic, but that good kind of thick, durable plastic.
As you can see, the formula is nice and creamy, not too thick, not too thin. The doe foot applicator is on the larger side (which I like), and has that indentation in the middle that gathers product. I received mine in shade No. 2 which is a perfect match for my skin tone.
Application is easy, and the formula feels pretty light-weight on my skin. A little of this product goes a long way, especially under the eyes. I have to be careful not to go too heavy handed. This concealer also covers blemishes and acne scars well.
In this picture I’ve applied the concealer over foundation and set it with powder. This picture was taken about 1/2 hour after applying. I really like the “your skin but better” look of this concealer once applied.
And here’s how the concealer looked 9 hours afterwards. Still pretty good! It broke up slightly, as I would expect, but doesn’t look cakey.
You can purchase Benefit’s new concealer at Sephora and Ulta!
