Skincare Haul: New Bits from Sephora!

Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a skincare haul. I love skincare, and since my skin has been having a freak-out lately, I decided to treat myself to some new skincare bits. I blame Halo-Top for making halfway decent low-cal ice cream (dairy is a trigger for my skin). And don’t even get my started about their strawberry cheesecake flavor. A few weeks ago I got the notification that Sephora was having a summer VIB sale, and I’m very nearly out of my Sunday Riley Sulfur mask, the only mask I’ve found so far that brings some relief during a breakout so… The Haul When Sunday Riley’s mask came…

    Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer

I got two rejections on short stories (although one was encouraging), and several on my manuscript. One manuscript rejection was six months to the day from when I sent the query. I had to look the agent up because I…

San Francisco Weekend: Our 10th Anniversary

San Francisco I’ve wanted to go to San Francisco for a long time. But it was always one of those places that got passed up in favor of places like England and tropical beaches. So this time we thought “Why not?” Its a quick 2 hour (+ or – depending on headwind) plane ride from Seattle, and there’s so much to see and do in that sprawling seaside town! With my husband’s demanding work schedule and the fact that we usually take our vacation in the spring or fall, we usually don’t do a whole lot for our anniversary. But this year was our tenth, a whole decade! We decided…
